Start Early

Childhood obesity risk is on the rise, and Healthline relays that women who gain more than the recommended amount of weight during pregnancy were 48% more likely to have overweight children. Just eating the right types of foods often isn’t enough to maintain a healthy lifestyle; for instance, take note of what you’re spreading on your whole wheat toast in the morning, and be aware of what you’re slathering on your salad or whole grain pasta.
